This elegant transformation of a “mid-century contemporary” home achieved all of the clients’ goals: to modernize finishes, upgrade systems, and improve the energy efficiency and comfort of the original.  A butterfly roof configuration on the new grand room accommodates a 7 kW solar system. The open floor plan is light and airy.  Energy efficient floor to ceiling windows bring in abundant light and provide views of the Pacific Ocean.  The owners, who were originally going to make this their second home, fell in love with their remodel and its beachfront location and, ultimately, decided to make this home their primary residence.
